What is a lateral thinking puzzle (soup game)? How to play
A lateral thinking puzzle (also called a "soup" game, or umikame) is a question-and-answer deduction game: the host presents a strange, seemingly impossible scenario, and players ask only yes/no questions, using the host's "yes / no / irrelevant" answers to reconstruct the full truth.
How to play
① The host gives the scenario; ② players take turns asking yes/no questions; ③ the host answers only yes/no; ④ reveal once someone has the full solution.
Why it suits an AI host
The hard part is that the host must guard the secret and stay logically consistent over dozens of arbitrary questions without leaking — exactly what an AI is good at, and it can generate endless fresh puzzles. See the soup game, or try one.
